What is marketing? How Will New Platforms and OS Change The Definition of Marketing?
Marketing has been a growing concept relevant for businesses since the 1950’s. Professor Philip Kotler, in the World Marketing Summit 2014 stated that now Marketing is entering 4.0 stage because of advancement in technology and media, especially Social Media.
It has been 20 years since Windows 95 and the explosion of internet and the dominant OS in the age of the PC was Windows. Now we are moving into age of Mobile and Social where the OS is shifting to Android/iOS. Recently, many Marketing Automation tools are being developed and New OS were announced including those for IoT.
This session will discuss how marketing has evolved and will continue to evolve based on the technology platforms and current trends in Big Data, IoT, AI, Marketing Automation etc. How will this trend affect the ad tech industry? What will the job of marketers/agencies/vendors in the future?
