Mr. Watanabe was born in 1974 in Miyagi, Northern Japan. In 1999, Mr. Watanabe joined CyberAgent, an online advertisement agency and online media publisher. He launched the Osaka branch and was appointed General Manager in July 1999. In July 2005, he launched “Ameba”, the most popular blog service provider in Japan. He assumed the CyberAgent's director in 2006. He was appointed President and CEO of MicroAd on July 2nd, 2007. MicroAd launched "MicroAd BLADE," a Japanese DSP with RTB and integrated with major exchanges and SSP in June 2011. With a global strategy for APAC regions, MicroAd opened offices in countries such as China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, India, the Philippines, South Korea and Thailand. As of now, MicroAd BLADE has more than 10,000 advertisers in the APAC region. Recently, MicroAd group has expanded its business services in digital signage and Japan tourism marketing.
