Max Ueno joined Criteo, as Managing Director for Asia Pacific in April 2011. In June that year he was appointed Representative Director of the newly established Japanese subsidiary of Criteo (serving concurrently as Executive Vice President, APAC), overseeing five locations including the Asian headquarters in Japan, along with offices in Australia, South Korea, Singapore, and China. Ueno has a wealth of experience and an extensive network in the media and advertising industry. After graduating university in 1987 he joined Recruit Co., Ltd., a classified advertisement, publication and human recourses company. In 1998, Ueno joined DoubleClick K.K. (currently a subsidiary of Google) as its President and Representative Director. In 2004, Ueno became President of Overture K.K. (currently Yahoo Japan Corporation), growing its market scale to the second largest in the world behind the United States. In 2006, Ueno was appointed President of the shopping search engine operator Become Japan Corporation. In 2015, he became the Executive Vice President, APAC.
